Juicy Gossip About BrewCo’s Upcoming Release
Half Moon Bay Brewing has a lineup of refreshing beers with a few new names in the mix. The word on the street is that the next limited-release in 16 oz. cans will be something new; where the rumor started is anyone’s guess!
Currently on tap at the brewery and restaurant in Half Moon Bay is an IPA in our yeast-driven New England series:
Frame of Reference, with pale Pilsner Malt and lactose brings a soft and creamy foundation for this IPA. With Simcoe and Motueka hops, lime zest and pineapple flavors with hints of pine and grapefruit round this one out.
Also on tap is a hops spotlight: Loral Dilemma is a pale ale that celebrates the welcoming of a new hops to the family: Loral, which is a cross of Noble English and classic American Hops. Loral, Centennial, and Amarillo Hops come together in this classic English pale ale. With Golden Promise malt and traditional English yeast, this ale entices with aromas of stone fruit, pine, citrus and bready malts. It’s a full-bodied yet refreshing ale.
The Raspberry Belgian Blonde is a traditional Belgian brewed with 300 pounds of raspberry puree and a special yeast strain that brings hints of coriander and cinnamon spice to the classic Belgian flavor. With berry fruit juice rounding it out, this is an excellent warm-weather treat!
Now, what’s all this buzz about a new limited-release 16oz can? That would be the upcoming Juicy Gossip IPA, the latest hazy IPA from brewmaster James Costa. This exploration in fruity hops flavors includes Citra, Mosaic, and Denali hops with a tropical yeast blend and wheat malts. This unique combination brings a slightly sweet maltiness followed by a blast of hops-provided tropical fruit, red berries, and orange flavors. The flavor rounds out with a dry, slightly citrus finish.
